At 4:30 they ran by the Washington Federal branch in Hood River to get cash for their road trip to Portland. They popped into the AT&T for Sir Thomas to top up his minutes on his pay as you go phone so they’d have phone service.

By 6:30 pm they were in Portland and had to stop for gas at the Fuel Mart off NE Sandy boulevard.
